Based on our plot, what nav lights should we see on the targets at night in good visibility?
Knowing the heading of a target is important for planning what action to take in accordance with the Rules of the Road.
Standing on our vessel in the center of the plotting sheet we see the green side light of target A. The rules say target A should give way.
In relation to target B, our own ship is the give way vessel so we should come up with a plan to avoid a close quarters situation with target B.
